How can I rename one or more playlists in the PhatNoise MUSIC Manager?

  1. Dock the DMS cartridge and open the device view of the PhatNoise Music Manager.
  2. Right click on the playlist you want to rename and select "Rename Disc by Pattern To". You can also manually rename a playlist just by left clicking on it once, then again - don't double-click!
  3. This will generate examples of naming conventions based on the way you've named your tracks. As you can see above, the options created are based on Artist and Album; Album and Artist; Artist, Album, and Genre.
  4. To rename more than one playlist, first select the name of the profile:
  5. Highlight the playlist you would like to rename on the right hand side, and right click. The renaming options work the same way here as with the example above.

In the PhatNoise MUSIC Manager I keep getting a "Gracenote Error" when I try to encode a CD.
This error occurs when the PhatNoise MUSIC Manager cannot connect to the Gracenote server. Disable any proxy server or firewall you are running and try to encode again. You may also modify proxy settings in the PhatNoise MUSIC Manager by clicking "Options" and then the "CD Encoder" tab. Click the "Modify Proxy Settings" button.
